Pokemon diamond and pearl is one of the games I had been waiting to play since I finished my ruby version. This game is by far the best game of the series yet, the difference between the graphics of this game and the others is abysmal and so is its game play, more pokemon have been added to the list and so have new type combinations, example: Lucario who is both a steel and fighting type, there has also been a dramatic change in the way the attacks function, in previous versions attack and special attack were dependent on the type of the move, for example water, fire, grass and electric attacks were all considered to be special attacks and fighting, bug, rock, ground moves were physical attacks. In diamond and pearl the attacks are more or less defined by the way the attack hits the foe, if it makes physical contact with it then it’s a physical attack and other attacks such as beams and bolts are considered to be special attacks since the attacker has no physical contact with the foe. This game has an enormous amount of new features the player will enjoy, such as the wireless capabilities of the DS which can allow the user to trade and battle online with other players all around the world; these two versions also include a very helpful feature which will allow the player to transfer his pokemon and items from previous GBA versions to his DS. Pokemon is one of those games that never truly ends and never gets old, there are always fun things to do in the pokemon world and there is always an uncompleted task, so whether you’ve beaten the Elite four once or a hundred times, you could always find something else to do: Complete the pokedex, hunt for shinies, work on your teams strategy or beat the battle tower. These are just some examples of the many things a pokemon trainer can do in the best pokemon game ever to be realeased by Nintendo.
